About Lost Terrain

Lost Terrain connects people to meaningful outdoor experiences led by independent guides who bring passion, knowledge, and heart to every adventure.

We spotlight and support guides through storytelling and ethical marketing—making it easier for adventurers to discover authentic trips, and for guides to share what they love without losing profit or autonomy.

Founded in Asheville, NC, Lost Terrain was built by a first-generation hiker who knows what it feels like to start from scratch—to feel unsure, unprepared, or like the outdoors wasn’t meant for her. That perspective drives everything we do: creating an inclusive space where everyone feels welcome on the trail.

Our guides are explorers, educators, and storytellers. Each trip is an invitation to connect deeper—with the land, with others, and with yourself.
